Non – financial Services
MDF-Kamurj provides non-financial services to its clients, which includes:
  • Trade-fairs of clients’ production
  • Legal consultancy
Every year in the days of Christmas and New Year holidays MDF-Kamurj hosts its traditional Trade Fair, where Kamurj’s clients involved with production or hand-made items, represent their goods. National dolls, artwork, toys, souvenirs and clothes are exhibited on the trade-fair. 40-50 clients from different parts of Armenia participate in this event every year, and all clients, partners and friends of Kamurj are being invited to visit the exhibition and make good purchases. The trade-fair also promotes creation of linkages, establishment of cooperation and business relations between producers and sellers. MDF-Kamurj also provides free of charge consultancy to its clients on laws and regulations, business registration, taxes, and other environmental issues that clients might face while running their businesses.
Training/Consultancy and Networking
MDF-Kamurj hosts MF exposure visits and conducts training to microfinance programs and institutions. Starting in 2000, a number of MF programs from Balkan countries (Micra/Bosnia-Herzegovina, MikroPlus/Croatia, Horizonti/Macedonia, and Ustoi/Bulgaria) visited us to learn about MDF-Kamurj's experience in microfinance. We conducted trainings/presentations for representatives of two Romanian NGOs, ASA/India, KCLF/Kazakhstan and organizations-members of CAMFA Network (Kyrgyzstan, Tadjikistan, Uzbekistan), as well as held workshop sessions during the MFC 7th annual conference. Our visitors receive combined knowledge from both theory and practice experts for relatively comprehensive effect of training/consultancy: the best practice experience/theory is presented together with a particular and relevant practitioner's actual experience; the practitioner's success stories and lessons learned are directly "touched" by the participants. At this point, a new synergic effect is generated, making the quality of the training/consultancy significantly higher.

MDF-Kamurj provides training and consultancy in the following areas:
  1. Mergers in microfinance,
  2. Microfinance general principles - best practice in Armenia,
  3. Solidarity group lending methodology,
  4. Client/business assessment,
  5. Client tracking,
  6. Delinquency prevention and management,
  7. Internal control and program monitoring,
  8. Institutional development,
  9. New product development,
  10. Penetrating rural markets.
